SHEEP

Our approach towards sheep farming is as follows, if a ewe is prepared to work hard for us rearing lambs that are fit for purpose whether it’s for breeding or prime we are prepared to work hard for her, giving her every opportunity to fulfill her potential. Over the years we have invested in the right genetics and feel that our flocks are now getting to where we want them to be in terms of production and functionality.

CATTLE

We aim to breed a cow that suits us and the way we want to farm, she needs to have a calf once a year, thrive outside all year round on a forage based diet, be quiet and easy to handle, produce something that is suitable for breeding and if not will eat really well when finished at grass. Herd Health is extremely important to us, we are Johnes level1, BVD Accredited and vaccinated and take a proactive approach to maintaining these standards.
